Department of Health Launches New Tax Credit Program for Rural Health Care Providers - Feb 2008

Important Announcement

Representative Stevan Pearce becomes the first NM Legislator to sign on as a co-sponsor to HR-1932 (Medicare Anesthesia Payment Teaching Rules).  This is an important step in getting a fix for the financial inequity faced by teaching institutions involved with teaching of anesthesia students, both physician residents and student nurse anesthetists.  Look on the NMANA Web site under Legislative/Federal to see the full text of HR-1932.
Representative Heather Wilson becomes the second NM Legislator to sign on as a co-sponsor to HR-1932.  This is a welcome further step in our efforts to fix Medicare Anesthesia Payment Teaching Rules.
Representative Tom Udall (D, District 3)
has signed on as a cosponsor to HR 1932 (Medicare Anesthesia Payment Teaching Rules).  He is the third NM Representative to sign on co-sponsoring this important legislation.
New Mexico is now the only state in the union with 100% sign on for co-sponsorship.  The fact that there is bipartisan agreement on this matter shows the importance of the legislation.
